AVU sang a bracket of three songs at the 4th National Myeloma Workshop at the Adelaide Hilton on the 26th August 2023, wrapping up the session with some of our energy and pzazz. A buzz went around the room when jackets came off, but everything stayed civilised. |
I arrived here from England in 2004 with my wife Diane and children, Lucy & James. My background is in automotive engineering which has led me to my current role, giving technical support to various university research groups. Other than singing, my hobbies include cycling and classic motorcycles, of which I currently have three (British of course) either running or undergoing restoration. I joined AVU in March 2019 after a few years singing with another group. I heard AVU perform and loved the sound created by an all male voice chorus, plus the broad range of repertoire. I enjoy the camaraderie in the group and the positive vibe at rehearsals: working hard but sharing good laughs along the way. Despite being confident about my singing and having 'a good ear’, I'm working on improving my musical skills, particularly music theory and sight reading.
